Preacher Curls

How it is done:

  1. Sit on a preacher bench with the top of the pad resting just below the armpits and the back of the arms firmly pressed against pad.
  2. Curl bar up toward chin.
  3. Slowly lower to starting position. Repeat.

Breathing:

Exhale as you raise bar. Inhale as you lower bar.

Trainer's Tips:

  • Alternatively try varying the width of the grip to determine which works best for you.
  • Make sure the seat is adjusted to proper height.

Common Mistakes:

  • Lowering the weight too quickly to starting position. This is dangerous and may cause the weight to bounce at the bottom of the movement.
